Probably the most ingenious name for a store ever, in-jean-ius is my friend Alison's super hip North End, Boston boutique that specializes in the coolest denim, flattering tops and fashion jewelry. She wanted a timeless logo that would tell the viewer right away what the store was about. Using the classic shape of jean pockets, I created a mark that could stand on it's own and still emphasize the boutique's flair.

Bisou by Melissa
Hugs and kisses are part of hair stylist Melissa's warm personality, so when she came to me for help with branding her new salon, I knew we had to do something with that in mind. After a brainstorming session, we came up with 'bisou' which is the colloquial word for a kiss in French. The logo is a bit flirty but still sophisticated to mirror the high-end feel of the salon.

Shutterfly Photo Books
The best photo books on the planet come from Shutterfly, and I've been lucky enough to design a handful of them! These three styles -- 2 summer and 1 wedding, were a labor of love as I designed all the type lockups, embellishments, page layouts, backgrounds and idea pages.

Otis and Rudy Birthday Poster
When dad turns 40 and son turns 1, it's a huge deal! For a special gift, mom wanted to surprise dad with a poster in the style of an old school concert poster. She commissioned me to come up with something retro themed using Rudy's favorite color palette with musical graphics. I always love a type-centric challenge and this was the perfect project for it.

Hand Lettering & Illustration
Doodling and hand lettering are my therapy. Luckily, the results come in handy for my profession! At right are just a few samples of some illustrations that have graced stationery, wrapping paper, notebooks and notepads.
Alison & Drew's Custom Wedding Suite
She has a funky artistic style and he is a tried and true Boston traditionalist - quite a challenge when 'marrying' their personalities for their wedding invitation suite! Since their venue was the Institute of Contemporary Art, I used an urban inspired painted canvas in certain elements, but with a clean and modern layout. Adding the Boston skyline upped the city feel, and also spoke to his hometown love.
Shown on right: invitation, rsvp card, details card, belly band and return address labels.
Everybody gets a logo! (channeling Oprah here :) I've created logos for corporations, foundations, school committees and personal businesses. Everything counts in logo design -- from the font to the proportions to the millimeters of placement. It's kind of like the heart surgery of design. My logos run a range of design, and I'd be happy to take on your next branding challenge.
My favorite piece to design is a wedding invitation and working with Wedding Paper Divas over the years has given me the opportunity to design hundreds. I've been loving every minute of it! The designs to the right are ones that I've done in the past, and although not available any more online, I'd be happy to put a in personal order for you.

Laura Vecchione CDs
Musician extraordinaire Laura Vecchione has a voice of sunshine and steel and she needed CD covers to represent that. The gorgeous photography she had done begged for a simple, modern and beautiful design that let her put her best face forward.
